Lexus GS 460 Models and GS 460 History

The 2008 GS 460 by Lexus was touted as an all-new model, but closely resembled the GS 430 from the previous year. It got a newer and more powerful V8 engine (4.6-liter) that could deliver 342 horsepower, over 50 more horsepower than the model that preceded it offered. An eight-speed automatic transmission was also introduced, as were new front fascias, turn signals on the side mirrors, new trim options and a redone gauge cluster spread. The GS 460 carried over to 2009 with no major changes. In 2010, Lexus added some new technology features like integrated Bluetooth/iPod/USB, an updated and optional GPS system with voice detection and a few other minor tweaks. The only new addition to the 2011 model was a brake override system.
