In 1998, Jaguars XK8 featured the addition of automaticheadlights, a security featured that immobilized the engine and a cellphonekeypad integration for the stereo system. The company also introduced two newbody colors. The years 1999 and 2000 saw no significant changes to this car.In 2001, Jaguar added child seat-anchors in the backseats as well as a parking-control system. A new audio system was introducedthat included a six-disc CD player, and a few exterior changes were made aswell as an included scheduled maintenance program, which covered the first fourservice trips. The 2002 XK8 was unchanged from the previous year.
In 2003, Jaguar made a number of changes to this model, offering new wheels,badging, xenon headlights, a few new body colors, several new engines and a newsix-speed automatic transmission. They also added a BrakeAssist feature andintroduced about 900 other changes to the car overall. In 2004, a few new body color options were added. The 2005 XK8 offered a newly redesigned exterior including new wheel designs and aspeed-limiter that was controlled by the driver. 2006 marked the release of theVictory Edition along with a few changes to the exterior.
