A refreshed front end of on the 2008 Ford Super Duty F-250 featured a larger grille and taller headlamp housings. Available in regular cab, Supercab and Crew Cab body styles, the 2008 Ford Super Duty F-250 Single Rear Wheel (SRW) model was offered with a rear-wheel or four-wheel drivetrain.
While the two-wheel drive regular cab model handled a maximum payload capacity of 5,633 pounds, the four-wheel drive, Crew Cab version of the 2008 Ford Super Duty F-250 SRW boasted peak payload capacity of 6,618 pounds. Standard engine power for the 2008 Super Duty F-350 SRW consisted of a 5.4-liter Triton V-8 engine generating 300 horsepower and 365 pound-feet of torque. Serving as the most potent gasoline powerplant for the 2008 model of the Ford three-quarter ton truck, a 6.8-liter V-10 produced 362 and 457 pound-feet of torque.
For 2008, an all-new Power Stroke turbocharged diesel engine joined the Super Duty line-up. The 6.4-liter Power Stroke turbo-diesel engine produced 350 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. Six trim level choices were offered with the 2008 Ford Super Duty F-250 SRW including the high-end Harley-Davidson model. Presented with a bolder grille, a refreshed Ford Super Duty F-250 SRW for the 2011 model year came with new gasoline and diesel powerplants.
A 6.2-liter V-8 engine served as the 2011 Super Duty F-250 SRWs base powerplant. Optional was an enlarged displacement 6.8-liter Power Stroke diesel. Originally released to deliver 735 pound-feet of torque, Ford promptly increased torque to 800 pound-feet in response to the General Motors HD pickup trucks Duramax engine. For 2015, the Ford Super Duty F-250s conventional towing was rated at 14,000 pounds with a Power Stroke diesel producing 960 pound-feet of torque.
