Cadillac CTS Coupe Models and CTS Coupe History

The third different body style for the Cadillac CTS, a coupe was added to the product line-up in time for the 2011 model year. While based on the same platform as the four-door CTS, the CTS Coupe received a distinctive design persona described as the brands most dramatic expression of Art & Science. Along the many difference from the sedan was the two-inch wider rear track and an aggressively raked windshield.

The Cadillac CTS debuted with a base, Performance and Premium trim level choice. The 2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe received a 304-horsepower 3.6-liter V-6 engine featuring gasoline direct injection. In 2012, a revised version of the V-6 engine was introduced as a lighter and stronger powerplant producing 318 horsepower. Offering a choice of a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission, the 2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe also provided a rear-wheel or all-wheel drivetrain choice. Standard features on the 2011 CTS Coupe included 18-inch wheels, ultrasonic rear park assist as well as eight-way power adjustable front bucket seats. The interior of the Cadillac CTS Coupe is classified as a 2+2 passenger cabin.

For the 2012 model year, the CTS Coupe added Bluetooth connectivity as standard equipment on all trim levels. A mild styling refresh was also employed during that year consisting of a reshaped grille with a sharper emblem. Adding sport alloy pedals, Recaro performance seats and 19-inch polished aluminum wheels, a Touring Package was offered with the CTS Coupe Premium models. In addition to the conventional Cadillac CTS Coupe, an eight-cylinder CTS-V model has also been available since the 2011 model year with 556-horsepower.
