Suzuki Esteem Models and Esteem History

A wagon version of the Esteem was added to the lineup in 1998, rounding out the major changes for this model year. An updated front end with new headlamps, a smoothed out body style and subtle updates to the trim levels complemented a new 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine with 122 horsepower, earmarking the major changes for 1999. Trim level shuffling, updated wheels and new body colors were the theme for 2000. A new in-dash CD player debuted with an updated front grille, new seat fabric and updated floor mats for 2001. A trunk release handle, updated seating fabric and trim level tweaks were the only noteworthy updates for 2002.
