Most Awarded Brands of 2011
2011 Highest Initial Quality Ratings
The annual J.D. Power U.S. Initial Quality StudySM (IQS) measures new car quality by analyzing problems reported by owners in the first 90 days of ownership.
2011 Most Dependable Cars
The J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability StudySM (VDS) has been the industry-leading source of car reliability ratings for over 25 years. VDS examines issues reported by original owners of 3-year-old vehicles to determine which are the most reliable cars.
2011 Best Performance and Design
The annual J.D. Power U.S. Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) StudySM is based on responses from more than 80,000 new-vehicle buyers or lessees and examines how gratifying a vehicle is to own after the first 90 days.
2011 Dealer Satisfaction Awards
Conducted annually, the J.D. Power U.S. Customer Service Index (CSI) StudySM measures customer satisfaction with automotive service at a franchised dealer or independent service facility for maintenance or repair work among owners and lessees of 1- to 5-year-old vehicles. The Sales Satisfaction Index Study—redesigned for 2017—measures satisfaction with the sales experience among new-vehicle buyers and rejecters, who are those who shop a dealership and purchase elsewhere.
