Derived from the European Fiat Ducato, the Ram ProMaster full-sized van made its North American debut for the 2014. The ProMaster introduction signalled Ram Truck's dedication in attracting professional and commercial business. A 280-horsepower 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine or a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel powerplant generating up[ to 295 pound-feet of torque can be selected with the Ram ProMaster. Constructed most notably for motorhome, emergency vehicle and cube van adaptations, the Ram Truck presented a ProMaster 3500 Chassis Cab and Cutaway Van. Offered in 136-inch and 159-inch wheelbase lengths, The chassis cab features an enclosed cabin while a cutaway van Ram ProMaster 3500 provides an opening behind the front operators' area. Along with the wheelbase choice, the long-wheelbase versions of the ProMaster chassis cab and cutaway van have also featured an extended length option. For 2015, a 2500-level chassis cab version of the Ram ProMaster van was added to the line-up. An extra dose of exterior class in the form of a chrome grille was introduced to the Ram ProMaster starting in the 2016 model year.
