About Bravada

An updated front end and new cladding on the sides made the 1998 Bravada by Oldsmobile truly stand out. An all-new dashboard offered next-gen airbags and heated side mirrors were added as a standard option. In addition, a battery rundown protection system as well as an anti-theft system were added as standard features. Minor changes were in store for 1999, with an updated turn signal and tailgate ajar light being added to the instrument panel. 2000 saw the addition of a few new body colors and new addable options. An all-new Bravada graced the 2001 model year, offering a revamped and updated body style and a brand new inline six-cylinder engine. A coil spring rear suspension system was introduced for AWD models in 2002, with traction control being made a standard feature on 2WD models. Side-impact airbags now became addable options instead of a standard feature, and the 4.2-liter engine got a 5 hp increase for 2003. No major changes were in store for 2004, with exception to the addition of satellite radio.
