About Sentra

A newly designed Sentra by Nissan debuted in 1998, boasting an updated exterior style and new fascias in the front and back. Unchanged through 1999, the 2000 model year was entirely redesigned to offer more power, a smoother ride and better fuel economy. After the redesign in 2000, the SE-R racing edition was the earmark for 2001, returning after being shelved for seven years. Major shuffling between trims took place with the 2002 Nissan Sentra and 2003 with nominal other changes being made. In 2004, new exterior colors were introduced with updates to the front and rear fascias, new colored door handles and an updated instrument panel. 2005-2006 saw nominal changes made prior to the newly designed model being introduced in the 2007 Sentra.

It would offer a better engine, a roomier interior and more amenities and options for the sixth-generation model. Aside from trim updates, the 2008 Sentra was relatively unchanged. Automated door locks, an updated trunk lid, new cloth upholstery trim and MP3 integration were the added cadres of the 2009 Sentra. An optional GPS system arrived in 2010, alongside major updates to all trims. Improved fuel economy, updated antilock brakes and stability control were added for 2011. No changes were made for 2012, with an all-new design released for 2013. It offered a larger and more spacious interior, better fuel economy and new technology features. Tuning updates, hardware upgrades, a smoother drive, smartphone integration, new seats and noise reduction were all advertised nuances to the 2014 Nissan Sentra.
