Mazda CX-3 Models and CX-3 History

Becoming Mazda's latest entry-level expression of KODO design language and SkyActiv technology in a crossover-style vehicle, the Mazda CX-3 has boasted value as well as a sporty character when it was introduced in 2016. Constructed on the same platform as the subcompact Mazda2, the CX-3 is 9.6 inches shorter in overall length compared to the larger CX-5. With the CX-3, Mazda invested in a slightly more aggressive outer look than its existing crossover to promote a sportier aura to attract younger buyers. Providing seating for five, the versatile interior of the compact crossover woos tech-savvy individuals with a standard Mazda Connect infotainment featuring a seven-inch touch screen with Internet radio integration. The Mazda CX-3's 146 horsepower, 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine is matched with a six-speed automatic transmission used to churn a front-wheel or optional all-wheel drivetrain. Using SkyActiv principles of weight-optimization and efficient engine power, the CX-3 could achieve up to 35 miles per gallon fuel travel on the highway.
