In 2004, Lexus made a bold move to discontinue its best-selling RX 300, introducing the world to the RX 330 replacement, a luxurious sports car that was powered by a 3.3-liter six-cylinder engine that produced 230 horsepower. The 2005 model saw some minor changes made, with a powered hatch added in the rear and real leather and wood trim made standard. An optional GPS system was also introduced that featured Bluetooth integration and voice command, amongst other minor interior trim changes. The 2006 model year saw minor changes that included updated powered front seats, reduced horsepower due to SAE testing and lighting updates made on the interior.
