There are two offerings in the automaker’s van lineup, the Savanna 2500 and 3500 versions. Both have been around since 1996, making this year’s redesign appropriate. They keep the three trim levels of Work Van, S, and LT. The primary difference is that the 2500 doesn’t offer an extended passenger configuration. Either can seat 12 comfortably. New exterior features on some trim levels are daytime running lights, chrome accents, 16-inch steel wheels, and solar-ray deep-tinted glass. The cabin gets a welcome makeover with several available amenities including a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, Driver Information Center, cruise control, remote keyless entry, and rear air conditioning. Safety gets a boost with a standard backup camera and a five-year OnStar Basic Plan. They also saw some performance enhancements too. They have a 276-horsepower, 4.3-liter V6 engine under the hood with an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive all standard. The 2500 has the edge on handling with a larger turning radius.
