The iconic Porsche 911 serves as a cornerstone to the brand's optimized engineering focused on speed, handling and driving pleasure. For 2017, the base Porsche 911 Carrera is now powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter flat-six engine. The new engine is also accompanied by mildly retouched exterior styling and a high-tech Porsche Communication Management System. In addition to the 370-horsepower entry-level powerplant, a new 2017 version of the high-performance 911 Turbo and 911 Turbo S debuts. The 2017 Porsche 911 Turbo S now moves thanks to 580 horsepower and includes the Sport Chrono Package allowing the sport car's acceleration from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 2.8 seconds. Porsche's entry-level performance coupe line is reclassified under the 718 banner for 2017. With the creation of the Porsche 718 nameplate, hardtop Cayman and convertible Boxster is now officially linked. Fresh exterior and interior styling as well as turbocharged four-cylinder engines producing between 300 and 350 horsepower are part of the 2017 Porsche 718 family.
