The most significant change in the 2016 Volkswagen line-up revolves around the Chattanooga, Tennessee produced Passat sedan. Featuring an all-new front and rear end design, the 2016 Volkswagen Passat also boasts refinements with interior equipment. All 2016 Passat models come standard with a Volkswagen's newest touchscreen-enabled infotainment system called MIB II. The MIB II suite is also available on most 2016 Volkswagen vehicles including the Beetle, Jetta and CC. 2016 Volkswagen models with MIB II systems promise even greater smartphone connectivity. Additional safety is found on the Volkswagen line-up starting with a new lighting package offered on the 2016 Beetle. Automatic Post-Collision Braking System has been expanded as standard equipment on the Beetle, Jetta and Touareg. Driver assistance technology is also available on a wider variety of vehicle in the 2016 Volkswagen line. Steering towards greater fuel efficiency, the 2016 Volkswagen Jetta replaces the 2.0-liter base engine with a 1.4-liter TSI powerplant. Using no combustible fuels, the 2016 Volkswagen e-Golf has been enhanced with a lower-cost SE model as well as an optional DC Fast Charging Package.
