New for 2016 is the HR-V. This smaller companion to the CR-V and Pilot offers available all-wheel drive and comes in three trims: LX, EX, and EX-L-Navi. Power comes from a 1.8-liter, 141-horsepower four-cylinder. A six-speed manual transmission is standard with two-wheel-drive models, while available with two-wheel drive and standard with all-wheel-drive is a continuously-variable automatic. Also in the Honda lineup are the CR-V compact and the Honda Pilot. Following major changes for 2015, the 2016 Honda CR-V adds a fifth trim level (SE) while continuing to be available with either front-wheel or all-wheel drive. Power comes from a 185-horsepower four-cylinder engine. All models use a continuously-variable automatic transmission. The 2016 Honda CR-V seats five. The 2016 Honda Pilot is redesigned, gaining more power, new safety tech, and a new Elite trim level. The Pilot seats eight, uses V-6 power (power is up from 2015), and has a six-speed or nine-speed automatic transmission, instead of 2015’s six-speed. For 2016, the Pilot adds Honda’s Honda Sensing suite of obstacle detection and avoidance technology.
