2016 model year changes

2016 sees the launch of the high performance variant of the ATS, dubbed the ATS-V. With a twin-turbocharged V6 engine producing well over 400 horsepower, the ATS-V should be able to go head to head with the BMW M3 and the Audi RS4. In addition to its firecracker of an engine, the ATS-V gets uprated suspension, new body work and much stickier tires. Available in two or 4-door variants, the ATS-V provides an American alternative to the classic high performance European sports sedan.

Special features for 2016

The Cadillac ATS competes with other compact luxury cars from BMW, Audi, Mercedes and Lexus. While previous efforts had focused on comfort over performance, the ATS represents a firm departure, with Cadillac opting to compete with BMW on performance, emphasizing rear-wheel-drive handling and a lightweight body structure. Improved torque from the turbocharged engine and a sporty new coupe only add to the Cadillac's appeal.
The ATS Coupe by Cadillac seats four people and comes well-equipped. Standard base model outfitting includes: 18” premium alloy wheels with run-flat tires, automated headlamps, heated and powered side mirrors, remote entry/start, parking camera, two-zone climate control, powered front seats, tilt and telescope steering wheel, OnStar, Bluetooth/iPod/USB integration and a seven-speaker audio system. Upgrade the trim or add-on some options and you can get an 8” color touchscreen with GPS and collision mitigation, all-wheel-drive, heated front seats, rolling Wi-Fi, limited rear-slip differential, sunroof and 12-speaker audio system. Driving the ATS Coupe is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that’s rated at 272 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque.
