The Acura RLX is offered in five trims but well stacked in the base model. Standard outfitting gets you 18” premium alloy wheels, LED headlamps, remote entry/start, triple-zone climate control, sunroof, auto-dim rearview mirror, premium leather upholstery, powered and heated front seats, tilt and telescope steering wheel, 8” upper electronic display, 7” lower electronic display, parking camera, Bluetooth/iPod/USB integration, HD radio and a 10-speaker ELS audio system. Up the trim level and you can get things like larger touchscreen consoles, GPS with voice command, larger 19” wheels, collision mitigation system, 14-speaker audio system and much more. Powering the RLX is a 3.5-liter V6 engine that makes 310 horsepower and 272 pound-feet of torque.

For 2016, the Acura RLX base trim has been discontinued, and 19-inch wheels are now standard and mounted to an improved suspension and slightly tweaked chassis. Most notably, the RLX now includes the AcuraWatch suite of aids, like adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, collision warning, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross traffic alert. Later in the model year, the RLX Sport Hybrid will debut, featuring a 3-motor hybrid system capable of 377 horsepower, with EPA estimated fuel economy at 30 mpg combined, compared with the 24 mpg combined figure for standard RLXs.
