Unnoticeable by appearance, the Jeep Grand Cherokee has gained several major updates for the 2016 model year. Electric power steering and upgraded suspension hardware are found on the new Grand Cherokee. The 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee will be propelled by refined powerplants including a new generation Pentastar V-6 engine. The newest six-cylinder powerplant is lighter and incorporates a higher compression ratio for improved performance. The Jeep Wrangler continues to sport its rustic four-wheel drive utility vehicle styling for 2016. Special trim levels for the Wrangler have received an update for with the introduction of the Black Bear Special Edition and new styling associated with the long-running Sahara model. The Compass enters 2016 with few major changes with a completely redesigned model expected for 2017. An enhanced Uconnect infotainment system utilizing a Drag and Drop menu bar, Siri Eyes Free and a Do-Not Disturb phone function is new for the 2016 model year Cherokee, Compass and Grand Cherokee.
