One of the GMC's biggest 2016 announcements is attached to their smaller Canyon pickup truck. The 2016 GMC Canyon will introduce the long-awaited turbocharged diesel engine. The 2.8-liter, inline four-cylinder diesel powerplant promises 369 pound-feet of torque worth of towing and hauling prowess. The full-sized GMC Sierra pickup truck remains the workhorse of the brand for 2016. A series of 2016 improvements to the Sierra includes standard LED signature lighting and a more responsive GMC IntelliLink infotainment system.
An all-new Elevation Edition model available with the double cab 2016 GMC Sierra features black-painted 20-inch machined aluminum wheels and body-color matching exterior accents. Maintaining the same powerplant options for 2016, the GMC Terrain will gain a refreshed look with a new front and rear fascia. In-vehicle connected technology across the GMC line is undergoing an evolution for 2016. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto system are being incorporated with the Canyon, Sierra as well as the Yukon. OnStar with 4G LTE WiFi is now available on the Acadia and the Savana full-sized van.
