For 2016, BMW's flagship 7 Series has undergone a monumental redesign. The lighter weight 2016 BMW 7 Series luxury sedan will utilize a number of high-tech developments such as an all-new iDrive system and the extensive use of carbon fiber materials. The new 7 Series will also for the first production vehicle in the world to incorporate Gesture Control as a means to interact with infotainment functions. The smallest crossover vehicle offered in the BMW line-up, the X1 receives a complete re-engineering for 2016. The 2016 BMW X1 is now standard equipped with front-wheel drive (derived from the same platform as the one used for the MINI Countryman).
