2015 model year changes

The Volvo S60 lineup gets a completely new 'Drive-E' generation of 4-cylinder engines beginning with the 2015 model year. They're mated to a new 8-speed automatic transmission and have further fuel-saving measures such as engine stop-start technology. For this year, the new Drive-E engines are offered only for front-wheel-drive models, while all-wheel-drive models retain the carry-over 5- and 6-cylinder engines. Other new features for the S60 T5 models include new electric power steering, and a standard power passenger seat. New options include power retractable mirrors in the Premier Plus trim, a Lane Keeping Aid added to the Technology Package, a new Park Assist Pilot option and a new Sport Package with 19-inch wheels, sport seats, and steering-wheel paddle shifters. On top T6 R-Design models there's a newly optional Nubuck textile/leather upholstery. Otherwise new or reconfigured packages include the Climate Package, Blind Spot Information (BLIS) Package, as well as many standalone options.

Offered with front-wheel and all-wheel drive, the 2015 Volvo S60 is powered by three forms of engine power. For 2015, the Drive-E powerplant will be available on the S60 model. The 2-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine produces 240 horsepower while providing fuel economy above 30 miles per gallon. The 240-horsepower Drive-E engine is only offered on the front-wheel drive model of the 2015 Volvo S60. When equipped with all-wheel drive, the 2015 Volvo S60 is powered by turbocharged five-cylinder or six-cylinder engines generating up to 325 horsepower on the R-Design variant. A six-speed automatic transmission channels power through the 2015 Volvo S60 line-up. Base trim models of the 2015 Volvo S60 is standard equipped with 60/40 split rear seat, electronic climate control and power driver’s seat. Upgrading to the Premier trim level, leather seating and power glass moonroof is added to the 2015 Volvo S60. Premier Plus models include standard Rear Park Assist Camera while the Platinum version of the 2015 S60 is fitted with a premium audio system. With Volvo having a renowned reputation for safety, LED daytime running lights, emergency truck release, anti-lock braking system and a full complement of airbags is standard on the S60.
