Infiniti's entry-level sport sedan, the G37, took the year off in 2014. In the meantime, the luxury carmaker introduced the Q50 as its replacement. For 2015, however, the G37 returns -- virtually unchanged from its 2013 form -- but is rebadged as the Q40. The car comes in one trim, with either rear- or all-wheel drive, and is powered by the venerable 3.7L V6, which makes 328 horsepower. A 7-speed automatic is the only transmission available. EPA-estimated fuel economy for the rear-drive car is 19 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway.
Crisp handling; premium luxury features; available all-wheel drive; excellent engine
The 2015 Infiniti Q40 is made for luxury sport sedan enthusiasts on a budget. Its powerful V6 and rear-drive layout make it ideal for spirited driving, while its modest $33,950 pricetag sets it well below rival cars in its class such as the BMW 3-Series, Lexus ES and GS and Acura TLX.
