The popular Hyundai Genesis coupe is a four-passenger roadster that is offered in six different trims: 2.0T, 2.0T R-Spec, 2.0T Premium, 3.8 R-Spec, 3.8 Grand Touring and 3.8 Ultimate. The base model (2.0T) comes well stacked, outfitted with 18” alloy wheels, automatic headlamps, LED taillights, heated and powered mirrors, remote entry and start, climate control (automatic), Bluetooth/iPod/USB integration and a six-speaker audio system. Kick it up a notch with a higher trim level and enjoy larger wheels, Brembo braking system, sport-tuned suspension, limited-slip rear differential, sport enhanced interior design, sunroof, parking sensors (front and rear), GPS system with 7” touchscreen console, rear spoiler, xenon headlamps (adaptive), and a 10-speaker luxury Infinity sound system. Depending upon the trim level selected, there are two engine options for this car: a 2.0-liter Inline four-cylinder engine that’s rated at 274 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque; or a 3.8-liter V6 engine that turns out 348 hp and 295 lb-ft. The Genesis Coupe comes with a five-year/60,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty.Read more Read less
The Genesis Coupe is largely the same as 2014's redesign, but it no longer offers the 2.0L 4-cylinder engine option, as well as the resulting shuffling of features.
Fresh styling inside and out; 8-speed automatic transmission; excellent road-holding; superior warranty
There is a lot to like about the Hyundai Genesis Coupe. Modern styling, a very powerful V6 engine and an available 8-speed transmission make a sporty, but everyday drivable combination. Starting at just under $27,000, the Genesis Coupe presents a package that offers an awful lot of performance for not a lot of money. The R-Spec model adds in sport-tuned suspension and a limited-slip differential turning the Genesis into a potent track-ready racer, with pricing still below $30k.
