An all-wheel drive wagon is not rare, but certainly is not as common as you might suspect. The Audio allroad features a zippy all-wheel drive standard inline 4-cylinder engine that makes about 211 hp with about 258 lb-ft of torque. It’s not the fastest car in sight, but it is a wagon. The standard interior wood trim, heated front seats and amenity-rich interior offerings (like cell phone USB inputs, premium sound system standard and alloy trim) are attractive, but certainly are not deal-makers or breakers. The variable, intermittent rain-sensing wipers will come in handy during rainy weather, and the remote-controlled sunroof will be fun; however, both are not essentials when making your car purchasing decision. The foldable rear seats basically double the cargo space at the cost of extra passengers. The standard 4-year/50000 mile warranty with 1 year of included maintenance should have car shoppers thinking about purchasing an extended warranty plan when looking to buy this beautifully designed minivan alternative.Read more Read less

Wagon functionality; sure footing on or off road; distinctive styling; excellent turbocharged 2.0L engine; standard luxury features; available technology
The sport wagon segment has a narrow target audience, and each model tends to inspire intense loyalty among its owners. The Allroad is no stranger to such diehard loyalty. It offers Audi's legendary quattro all-wheel-drive system, standard luxury features, a quite capable turbocharged engine, rugged styling and excellent handling. The whole package makes for a reasonably priced, highly entertaining ride with few peers.
