The Dodge Ram Promaster City, slots in below the standard Promaster in Dodge's lineup. The City variant is all new for 2015 and offers buyers an extremely compact van that is small enough to be used in an urban environment. Based on a popular European-market FIAT, the Promaster City uses these roots to its advantage, offering great maneuverability while still having a big enough load floor for deliveries or, when properly equipped, for hauling people.

The Dodge Ram Promaster City competes with vehicles like the Ford Transit Connect, the Nissan NV200 and the Chevy City Express. Like all three of those vehicles, the Promaster City uses a compact unibody structure that shares more with small economy cars than with traditional pickup trucks. The advantages of such a platform include a stiffer, lighter chassis, smoother suspension and better fuel economy. As its name implies, the Promaster City should be right at home in an urban environment, where it should be maneuverable enough to get down crowded streets and compact enough to find a parking spot once a destination is reached.
