Special features for 2015

The Nissan Frontier is one of the lowest-priced pickups available. Four-cylinder Frontier models are more than capable of light-duty hauling and towing, while V6 models are the way to go for those with serious towing in mind. In any variant, the Frontier is more maneuverable and easier to park than full-size pickups, yet Crew Cab models have enough space for four adults. Compared to other small trucks the Frontier line still offers some innovative storage features, such as removable rear-seat storage boxes and the Utili-Track adjustable tie-down system. Off-road purists will also like the complete set of go-anywhere equipment and interior comforts of the PRO-4X models.

The Nissan Frontier is an all-around pickup truck, ranging from compact to midsized, with a wide array of customization options that truly make it stand out from the rest of the pack. Offered with several cab choices (Extended, Crew, King), two bed options are determined by your cab choice, either 6.1’ or 5’. Buyers can choose from five trims that include: S, SV, Desert Runner, Pro-4X and SL. The base model S trim offers a 2WD king cab with a manual transmission, 15” wheels (steel), privacy glass in the rear, folding passenger side seat and cloth interior. An automatic transmission is offered in the S trim King Cabs, as is a V6 engine and larger 16” alloy wheels. The pickup truck also comes standard with a sliding rear window and a six-speaker stereo system. Upgrade to a higher trim or add one of the packages and you can enjoy features that include: larger 16” alloy wheels, remote entry/start, powered accessories, 5.8” touchscreen console with GPS and Bluetooth/iPod/USB integration, 12-volt power outlet, fog lights, front and rear parking sensors with backup camera, bed extender (sliding), skid plates, cargo tie-downs, heated front seating, Bilstein shock absorbers, off-road tires with upgraded suspension and braking system, trailer hitch, locking rear differential and premium 10-speaker Rockford Fosgate surround sound system (amongst many other available options). Depending upon the trim selected, you’ll get one of two engines: a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 152 horsepower and 171 pound-feet of torque; or a beefier 4.0-liter V6 engine that’s rated at 261 hp and 281 lb-ft of torque. Well equipped, the Frontier can tow over 6,000 pounds. The pickup truck comes with a three-year/36,000-mile warranty.
