Special features for 2015

The Mercedes-Benz SLK takes Mercedes' concept of a small 2-seat roadster to a new level, offering high-level performance and a great selection of technological features. All this works together to give the car an excellent overall balance of comfort and performance, and for the end-user, it's arguably a more rounded daily driver than the Chevrolet Corvette, Porsche Boxster or BMW Z4 roadster. Priced around $55k, it has many of the same styling cues and a similar look to the much more expensive SLS AMG coupe.
The SLK-Class is a popular two-passenger roadster convertible (with a retractable hardtop) by Mercedes-Benz, offered in several trims that include: SLK250, SLK350 and SLK55 AMG. The standard equipment offered is impressive, including 17” alloy wheels, glass paneling on the roof, LED running lights, powered mirrors that fold, automated climate control, powered front seats, faux leather interior, COMAND electronics interface and an eight-speaker audio system with Bluetooth/iPod/USB integration. A number of desirables can be added with various packages, optional add-ons or trim level upgrades. These include: remote activation of the hardtop, a heat leveling system, larger 18” wheels, Harmon Kardon premium sound system, leather upholstery, GPS system, collision detection with lane departure and blind-spot monitoring, remote entry/start, two-zone climate control (automated), AMG trim level signature packages (wheels, upholstery, sport-tuned brakes and suspension), and many others. Three engines are offered, determined by the trim level: a turbocharged 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that’s good for 201 horsepower and 229 pound-feet of torque; a 3.5-liter V6 engine that makes 302 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque; or the monstrous AMG 5.5-liter V8 engine that churns out 415 hp and 398 lb-ft. The car comes with a four-year/50,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty.
