New 2015 Ford Transit Connect Wagon Prices

Now in its fourth year of production, the Ford Transit Connect Wagon offers a van, crossover and wagon alternative to those who seek more compactness and better gas mileage. Considered a compact minivan, one that was originally designed for small businesses, this wagon-styled car comes in two wheelbases with three different trim levels that are offered: XL, XLT and Titanium. The XLT wagon offers room for up to seven passengers, dependent upon the wheelbase that you opt for. Stock, this wagon-crossover comes with 16” steel wheels, modern and gray moldings, two-speaker sound system and optional third-row (found in the XL wagon model). Upgrade the trim level to get colored bumpers, fog lights, powered mirrors and the MyFord 4.2” touchscreen interface, as well as a storage shelf that’s positioned overhead and a longer wheelbase. Traction control, front and side impact airbags and optional parking sensors with backup camera are notable safety add-ons to consider, too. The stock four-cylinder engine at 2.5-liters makes 169 horsepower with 171 pound-feet of torque, getting 21 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway. Not quite a wagon, and not quite a van or SUV, it’s a decent alternative option for parents and business owners who are shopping on a budget.

The Ford Transit Connect is a small commercial van or passenger wagon that makes the most of its size to haul up to 1,600 pounds of cargo in commercial guise or, when configured for people moving, up to seven passengers. Ideal for small urban businesses or for families who want a solid alternative to the traditional minivan, the Transit Connect starts at $22,000 ($24,500 for the passenger version), about the price of a compact car. In addition to its low price of entry, the Transit Connect promises to be inexpensive to run as well, with both available engines being efficient four-cylinder types. The Transit Connect is extremely configurable as well, offering a choice of interior appointments and wheelbases, making it the right vehicle for a wide range of jobs.
