Ford Fusion Energi Deals, Incentives and Rebates

Hybrid cars are not equal by any means. The Ford Fusion Energi makes a strong statement that a hybrid car can look great and have plenty to offer, too. With an EPA combined rate of 100MPGe, this car can run about 20 miles on a solitary charge before the gas engine revs up and takes over. Two trim levels are available, SE Luxury and Titanium. Stock, the SE Luxury trim level offers plenty. Auto-dim mirrors, included fog lights, keypad and remote keyless entry, leather interior and power seats as well as an 8” touchscreen computer, gorgeous gauge clusters, and six-speaker sound system are enticing. Dual-zone climate control always assures that the temperature is comfy in the cabin. A standard 110-volt plug outlet allows you to tap into the battery with a household plug. iPod/USB interfaces mean that connectivity is as easy as plugging in. Upgrade to the Titanium package to get a better sound system (12-speaker), remote start, backup camera, rear spoiler and a few more add-ons. The 2.0-liter four-cylinder puts out 195 horses and uses a continuously variable transmission (CVT) to charge up the battery; it can run at about 85 mph for over 20 miles before the lithium-ion battery needs to be recharged. For the price, and the features offered, it’s hard to top this hybrid.

The 2015 Ford Fusion receives only minor changes for 2015. Most notably, the turbocharged 1.6L 4-cylinder engine has been dropped, as has the 6-speed manual transmission, leaving only the 6-speed automatic as the transmission of record. Across the model range, a rearview camera is standard, while SE and Titanium trims now offer a Terra Cotta package, which includes special leather-trimmed seating, 18-inch painted alloys and more.

The Ford Fusion is a mid-sized sedan and must therefore compete in an incredibly competitive segment, going up against heavyweights such as the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord. Ford has priced the car accordingly, with models starting at $22,000. On the other end of the price spectrum, the Fusion can be outfitted with a variety of luxury equipment, providing a sensible alternative to the entry-level cars sold by several luxury marques.
