Special features for 2015

The 2015 Ford Flex remains an excellent choice for those who lament the absence of large station wagons on the market, yet want something far more stylish than truck-like SUVs or look-alike crossover vehicles. It drives responsively, rides smoothly and quietly and is a great highway vehicle. Plus, the Flex's boxy shape makes it one of the most spacious vehicles inside, especially from a passenger standpoint. Consider its excellent safety ratings and standout active-safety features and it makes a lot of sense from a family standpoint-- making a luxurious minivan alternative, too.

The Ford Flex is a seven-passenger SUV crossover that comes in three different trim levels: SE, SEL and Limited. Standard base outfitting includes more than basics. The SE model comes with 17” alloy wheels, automated headlamps, privacy glass in the rear, front and rear parking sensors, powered front seats, 60/40-split second-row, 4.2” information console, Bluetooth/iPod/USB integration and a six-speaker audio system. Up the trim level or add on a few options, and you can enjoy things like: GPS system with 8” touchscreen and the MyFord Touch interface, two-zone climate control (automatic), dual USB ports, standard 110-volt power outlet, remote start, leather seating, larger wheels (up to 20”), rain-sensing wipers, xenon headlamps, LED tail lamps, collision warning system and a 12-speaker premium Sony sound system. Under the hood you’ll find a capable 3.5-liter V6 engine that’s good for 287 horsepower and 254 pound-feet of torque. This can be upgraded to a more powerful and turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine that’s rated at 365 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque. When properly equipped, the Flex can tow over 4,000 pounds. Ford offers a three-year/36,000-mile warranty on this SUV.
