Starting at just under $45,000, the XTS competes with midsized luxury sedans from European manufacturers like BMW, Audi and Mercedes. The XTS offers more interior room and cargo space, however and the availability of a new 3.6L turbocharged V6 means the XTS can more than hold its own. Available all-wheel drive increases practicality and fits well with all the other impressive technologies available on the XTS.
The Cadillac XTS chooses to go a different path than the popular ATS models, in the sense that it’s designed to be more of an accommodating and comfortable ride than it is to be a speed demon. Cadillac has even referred to this car as fitting (and designed) for the “large luxury” market. Inside of its spacious cabin, you’ll enjoy the smoothly contoured interior, soft leather seating, premium Bose surround sound system, CUE infotainment center with 8” touchscreen and app marketplace, collision warning system (front and rear), powered seats, and roominess to easily transport five people on that next daytime weekend road trip. While the standard V6 engine makes 304 horsepower, you’ll get far more out of the upgradable Twin-Power V6 that offers a twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter engine and makes 410 horsepower with 369 pound-feet of torque. As far as roomy luxury sedans go, Cadillac has been delivering some of the finest of the bunch for decades. The XTS earmarks yet another victory for the carmaker and comes with a standard 4-year/50,000 mile warranty as well as 24-months of included maintenance that leaving you resting easy about your new purchase.
