Special features for 2014

The XV Crosstrek is a small crossover vehicle, competing with other small crossovers and SUVs in a very crowded segment. It slots in below the Outback in Subaru's lineup of cars, offering nearly as much practicality at a lower price. The XV Crosstrek also achieves excellent fuel economy and does so without compromising Subaru's famed all-wheel-drive. It also makes use of some extremely efficient packaging, maximizing interior space while simultaneously keeping the exterior dimensions of the vehicle somewhat compact. An available gas-electric hybrid gives very good fuel economy while maintaining the Subaru go-anywhere attitude.
New for 2014, the Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid is powered by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder BOXER engine that produces 148 hp. Subaru AWD can be paired to a 6-speed CVT for fuel economy within an EPA estimated range of 29 mpg city to 33 mpg highway. Features include automatic climate control, steering wheel controls, premium sound system, hands-free phone capabilities, heated leather seats, sunroof, rearview camera, and voice activated navigation. Safety is comprised of advanced airbags, vehicle stability control (VSC), anti-lock braking system (ABS), brake assist (BA) and tire pressure monitoring (TPMS). The XV Crosstrek Hybrid is backed by a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty.
