Special features for 2014

The LR4 delivers the upscale interior and 4-wheel-drive capability upon which Land Rover has built its reputation over the decades. The new-for-2014 V6 is efficient and powerful with its accompanying 8-speed transmission, the interior is luxuriously appointed with goodies such as leather seats and dual-zone climate control. Land Rover's Terrain Response system and Hill Descent Control make the LR4 more than capable of taking on the toughest trails. In other words, the LR4 is pure Land Rover and, starting at less than $50,000, sets the bar high for luxury off-road competitors from Europe and Japan.
Adhering to a traditional sport utility vehicle appearance that resided in the legacy of the Land Rover brand, the 2014 LR4 has been updated with a refreshed front-end layout. The most massive change for the 2014 Land Rover LR4 occurs internally. Replacing the V8 engine with a supercharged V6, the 2014 Land Rover LR4 is propelled by 340 horsepower and 332 pounds feet of torque. Providing roughly 35 fewer horsepower than last year’s V8 powerplant, the supercharged six-cylinder engine delivers improved fuel mileage. Combined fuel economy for the 2014 Land Rover LR4 is rated at 17 miles per gallon thanks partially to a new eight-speed automatic transmission. The Land Rover LR4 can be equipped to a base, HSE or HSE LUX trim level for 2014. Dual-zone automatic climate control, alpine roof with tilt-and-slide sunroof, six airbags and an 11-speaker Meridian™ audio system is standard on the base 2014 Land Rover LR4. The 2014 Land Rover LR4 HSE LUX upgrades to an all-new Windsor leather package. The four-wheel drive system of the 2014 Land Rover LR4 can be outfitted with a standard single-speed or an optional two-speed transfer case.
