2014 model year changes

The FIAT 500L is new for 2014. The 500L adds two more doors and lot more practicality to the successful FIAT 500 formula. With much more interior space, getting five people comfortably into a 500L is a breeze. At the same time 500L remains light and nimble, still boasting extremely good mileage numbers. FIAT has also released the 500e in select markets. The 500e is the all-electric version of the FIAT 500, maintaining all of the 500's charm in a more environmentally friendly package. It is currently only sold in California.

Special features for 2014

The FIAT 500 is a small 4-seater with cutesy good looks and great fuel economy. It's relatively inexpensive, but does have some upscale pretentions, some trims competing directly with rivals like the Mini Cooper S. Like much more expensive Italian cars--and thanks in part to Mopar--the FIAT 500 offers more customization potential than is typical for an inexpensive small car. With a FIAT Studio system at dealerships, buyers can customize with interior and exterior accessories, striping packages and more. FIAT 500 Abarth models also live up to the "small but wicked" approach that inspired the 1960s-era performance models before. The idea is to offer high performance in a small car, with a dash of Italian exotic personality and pedigree. Safety is also a strong point for the 500; it's been named an Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) Top Safety Pick.
A compact car with a dashing style, the Fiat 500 three-door hatchback delivers an impressive range of 14 exterior colors. Accommodating four adults along with 9.5 cubic feet of cargo volume, the 2014 FIAT 500 can provide itself as a practical choice for drivers. For 2014, the rear seat has been lowered by an inch in order to improve headroom and rear window visibility. Powered by a 101-horsepower MultiAir four-cylinder engine, the base 2014 FIAT 500 Pop model includes standard air conditioning, six-speaker stereo system as well as BLUE&Me hands-free communication. Featuring red-painted brake calipers, sport seating and 16-inch aluminum wheels, the 2014 FIAT 500 Sport model presents a racier character for motorists complete with a sport-tuned suspension. The Lounge trim level of the 2014 FIAT 500 adds premium cloth seating material and automatic temperature control. For upgraded performance, the 2014 FIAT 500 Turbo introduces a turbocharged, 1.4 liter engine generating 135 horsepower. At the top-level of the 2014 FIAT 500’s performance scale, the Abarth has a turbocharged powerplant hiked to 160 horsepower and 170 pounds feet of torque. Powerful brakes and a special sport suspension is also part of the 2014 FIAT 400 Abarth. Front, knee and seat-mounted airbags, anti-lock braking system, traction control and tire pressure monitoring system is standard safety equipment on all 2014 FIAT 500 models.
