Based on the Holden VF Commodore, the revived 2014 Chevrolet SS is a performance-oriented full size sedan that GM hopes will fill the void of the Pontiac G8. Powered by a 6.2-liter V8 engine that produces 415 hp, the SS can achieve 0-60 in five seconds. Standard RWD is paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission, equipped with TAPshift, enabling an EPA estimated14 mpg city and 21 mpg highway.
