2014 model year changes

The 2014 Impala has been redesigned from the ground up for 2014. The largest sedan in the Chevrolet lineup, the Impala has bold new styling and a choice of several different drivetrains, including a new hybrid eAssist 4-cylinder. Chevrolet decided against retro styling for the Impala, instead giving it a thoroughly modern look with somewhat more aggressive styling than other competitors in its class.

Special features for 2014

The Impala is a large sedan competing in the near-luxury segment. Starting at under $28,000 the Impala undercuts the price of many entry level luxury cars while still offering plenty of luxury features. It also includes substantially more room than many buyers might be expecting, especially considering a price point similar to many smaller, midsized cars. A major emphasis has been placed on build quality and interior refinement improving comfort while reducing noise vibration and harshness. A hybrid model goes on sale later in the year, offering up to 35 mpg on the highway.
Redesigned for the current model year, the 2014 Chevrolet Impala is a full-size sedan with seating for five. Engine options are comprised of a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 195 hp and an optional 3.6-liter V6 engine that yields 305 hp. Standard FWD is paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission that enables the base Impala to achieve fuel mileage within an EPA estimated range of 21 mpg city and 31 mpg highway. Features include Bose premium sound, leather seats, Bluetooth hands-free phone capabilities, navigation system, sunroof, and dual-zone climate control. Safety is comprised of advanced airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), StabiliTrak, traction control system (TCS), anti-lock braking system (ABS), and tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS). The Impala is backed by a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty
