Special features for 2014

The Cadillac ELR is a luxury sports coupe starting at about $75,000. It competes with other luxury coupes from the likes of BMW, Mercedes and Audi. Of course, most of its competitors make due with a standard gasoline engine, with the one exception being the Tesla Model S. However the Cadillac should have a better range than the equivalently price Tesla, since the ELR has a built in gasoline engine that is capable of recharging the electric batteries on the go. The Cadillac ELR's value is further enhanced by tax rebates associated with owning alternative fuel vehicles.
All new for 2014, the Cadillac ELR is a luxury sports coupe equipped with plug-in hybrid technology. The ELR is powered by a combination of a 1.4-liter combustion engine and electric drive unit producing 157 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. Features include jeweled tail lamps, LED headlamps, hidden door handles, active aero grille shutters, 20-inch rims, leather interior with wood trim, heated seats, ambient lighting, automatic cupholder covers, Bose active noise cancellation, 20-way power seating, and CUE infotainment system. Safety is comprised of advanced airbags, radar sensors, cameras, adaptive cruise control, safety alert seat and ONSTAR. The ELR is backed by a 4-year/50,000-mile warranty.
