Updated for 2014, the Aston Martin Vanquish is a grand tourer, supercar, equipped with an all new 5.9-liter V-12 engine that yields 565 hp and 457 lb-ft of torque, for a 0-60 time of 4.0 seconds. VH architecture, carbon fiber components, and hollow aluminum make for a lighter curb weight than the DB9 and perfect 50:50 weight distribution. In addition to three different driving modes (normal, sport, and track), the Vanquish is also the first Aston Martin to be fitted with launch control. A touchtronic 6-speed automatic transmission is paired with RWD to enable an EPA estimated 13 mpg city and 19 mpg highway. Features include 20-inch wheels, carbon ceramic brakes, alcantara/carbon fiber inserts and accents, state of the art infotainment system, and heated seats. Safety is comprised of advanced airbags, electronic brake distribution (EBD), anti-lock braking system (ABS), emergency brake assist (EBA), positive torque control (PTC), and tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS). The Vanquish is backed by a 3-year/unlimited-mile warranty.Read more Read less
The 2014 Aston Martin Vanquish is a new model, derived from the flagship DBS and sharing many of that model's mechanical items--including the phenomenal naturally aspirated V12 engine--yet with an all-new carbon-fiber body shell, new design elements and a stiffer aluminum chassis underneath.
Supercar-league performance; raucous, enchanting exhaust note; responsive handling; unique haptic-feedback interior controls; eye-catching exterior design; a Volante (convertible) that performs just as well
Compared to Aston Martin's DBS, the Vanquish is lighter, leaner, and more stylish and contemporary in its mission, against a crowd that includes the Maserati GranTurismo, Porsche 911 Turbo and Lamborghini Aventador, among others. Yet despite the Vanquish's intimidating power and supercar-rivaling performance numbers--and that it's the first Aston Martin model to feature launch control--the Vanquish is more of a grand-touring coupe with bragging rights than a singularly performance-focused sports car.
