Special features for 2013

The Mitsubishi Outlander offers a lot of features for its price point. Gas mileage is pretty good too, with the base-level ES turning in 21 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway. Even the 7-passenger SE equipped with all-wheel drive gets 18 mpg in the city and 24 on the highway. As a "crossover," the Outlander blurs the line between sporty handling and sport utility. The 4-cylinder engine is aimed at drivers who want sporty styling along with great fuel economy, while the V6 has significantly more horsepower for spirited driving. The GT trim's Super-All-Wheel Drive Control system is derived from the high-performance system used in the Lancer Evolution.
A stylish compact SUV, the 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander is powered by a standard 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 168 hp and 167 lb-ft of torque. For additional power Mitsubishi offers an optional 3.0-liter V6 engine that produces 230 hp and 215 lb-ft of torque. The Outlander comes standard with FWD and a CVT transmission, however drivetrain/transmission can be upgraded to AWD and a six-speed automatic transmission. Fuel mileage falls within an EPA estimated range of 19 mpg city to 28 mpg highway. Features include magnesium paddle shifters, aluminum roof, 18-inch wheels, LED taillights, HID headlamps, heated leather seats, flap-fold tailgate, and navigation. Safety is comprised of tire pressure monitoring (TPMS), active stability control (ASC), anti-lock brake system (ABS), and six standard airbags. The Outlander is backed by a 5-year/60,000-mile warranty.
