The last year of production for the coupe and convertible version of the Lamborghini Gallardo, the 2013 model year features the supercar appearing more performance-hungry than ever. A shape created through an extensive use of aluminum, the 2013 Lamborghini Gallardo’s main power source is a mid-mounted, 5.2 liter V-10 engine. Producing between 550 and 570 horsepower, the 2013 Lamborghini Gallardo’s engine is ultimately directed through a two-wheel or four-wheel drive system. Restricted to a 550-horsepower level, coupe and convertible versions of the 2013 Gallardo LP550-2 model has a six-speed manual transmission regulating the flow of engine power to the rear wheels. Adding a permanent four-wheel drive system and a six-speed E-gear transmission, the 2013 Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 exceeds the 200-mile per hour barrier. Presenting 570 horsepower, several edition special versions of the 2013 Lamborghini Gallardo exist. Based on a race car variation of the Gallardo, the LP-570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale provides an adjustable rear spoiler and an Alcantara interior. A lighter version of the hardtop Gallardo, the 2013 Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera is also offered with an Edizione Tecnica package. The Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera Edizione Tecnica is equipped with carbon-ceramic brakes, unique rear wing and a choice of three special color schemes. The 2013 Lamborghini Gallardo LP-570 Spyder Performante and LP570-4 Performante Edizione Tecnica are convertibles similar to the fixed roof Superleggera.
