The 2013 model year Jaguar lineup exhibits a new sense of diversity. Smaller engines debut on the Jaguar XF and XJ for 2013 breaking the exclusivity of the 5.0-liter V-8 powerplant now reserved for higher-end models. A 340-horsepower 3.0-liter supercharged engine is now the base powerplant on the XJ sedan. Also offering the 3.0-liter powerplant, the Jaguar XF's standard performance arrives from a 240-horsepower, 2.0-liter turbocharged engine for 2013. Auto Start/Stop system on all powerplants and a new eight-speed automatic transmission accompany the additional engine choices on both Jaguar sedans. For 2013, the base Jaguar XF includes a 1,200-watt surround sound system. For the first time since the discontinuation of the X-Type after the 2008 model year, all-wheel drive will be available from Jaguar presented as optional on the 2013 Jaguar XJ and XF. The inclusion of a lower-priced Touring trim level coupe and convertible define the most significant change for the Jaguar XK in 2013.
