2013 model year changes

A new electric powered Fit arrives for 2013. Beyond an all-electric powertrain, the Fit EV is pretty much the same as its gasoline-powered sibling. A few aerodynamic modifications are all that makes it stand apart. The conventionally powered Fit receives no significant updates for 2013, except for one new exterior hue: Midnight Plum Peal replaces Orange Burst Metallic.

Special features for 2013

The Honda Fit stands out for a couple of very important reasons: its perky driving experience and its excellent and very versatile seating layout. The Fit remains more fun to drive than many other vehicles in this class, thanks to the engaging powertrain and well-matched transmissions, combined with a suspension that's sporty but not uncomfortable. Thanks to the Honda Fit's so-called Magic Seat arrangement, it allows a more usable cargo space than most other small hatchbacks. In addition, its rear seating comfort is a step better than other models in this class and the rather low beltline affords a good view out for everyone. As with most subcompact hatchbacks--but even more so here--the Fit is a near-ideal city car, and it parks very easily while it's also lively enough for merges and quick lane changes.
Now available with new exterior colors, the 2013 Honda Fit is a FWD sub-compact five-door hatchback with seating for five. The Fit is powered by a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 117 hp and 106 lb-ft of torque, for a 0-60 time of 8.5 seconds. Transmission options consist of a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed automatic. Fuel mileage is an EPA estimated 27 mpg city and 33 mpg highway. Features include 16-inch wheels, race-inspired paddle shifters, secret storage, 10 beverage holders, upper and lower glove compartments, steering wheel mounted controls, USB audio interface, CD/MP3 compatibility, and navigation with voice recognition. Safety is comprised of six airbags, anti-lock braking (ABS), vehicle stability assist (VSA), traction control (TCS), electronic brake distribution (EBD), and tire pressure monitoring (TPMS). The Fit is backed by a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty.
