2012 model year changes

The Scion tC hatchback coupe was completely redesigned for 2011, and carries into 2012 with only a few changes. A new Release Series 7.0 model debuts for 2012. It includes 18-inch alloy wheels, a special body kit, a honeycomb grille and proximity entry.

The 2012 Scion tC is a FWD compact coupe powered by a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 180 hp and 173 lb-ft of torque. The tC comes equipped with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission that enables the car to achieve an EPA estimated 23 mpg city and 31 mpg highway. New for 2012 is the RS 7.0 trim level which coats the tC in high voltage yellow and equips it with push-button start, a TRD body kit, honeycomb grille, and 18-inch gloss black wheels. Features include power side-mirrors with LED turn signals, chrome-tipped exhaust, moonroof, 18-inch alloy wheels, USB port with iPodĀ® connectivity, and sport front bucket seats. Safety is comprised of vehicle stability control, traction control, anti-lock braking, advanced airbag system, and a first aid kit. The tC comes with a basic 3-year/36,000-mile warranty.
