Special features for 2012

Sometimes, only a full-sized van will do. Whether you need to haul a dozen or more people or tow 9,500 pounds of equipment, the Chevy Express is one of the few vehicles that can accomplish it. The base Express starts just under $30,000. All non-diesel Express models can use E85 Flex Fuel.
Offered in either LS or LT trim level, the 2012 Chevrolet Express Passenger van is sold as either the 1500, 2500 and 3500 chassis configurations. Standard features on the 2012 Chevrolet Express Passenger Van include front air conditioning, StabiliTrak, AM/FM stereo and OnStar. LT models of the 2012 Express Passenger van add a larger standard equipment assortment which includes a Chrome Appearance Package, rear air conditioning and heating, power windows as well as remote keyless entry. Eight passenger seating is found on the 1500 level of the 2012 Chevrolet Express. The Express 2500 upgrades to 12 occupants while an extended wheelbase Express 3500 LS available for up to 15 passengers. The 2012 Chevrolet Express Passenger van line-up is powered through a range of 8-cylinder engines. On the Express 1500 Passenger model, a Vortec 5.3 liter V-8 powers the van with 310 horsepower through a 4-speed automatic transmission. A 4.8 liter as well as 6-liter V-8 engine choice is available on the Express 2500 and 3500 for gasoline or E85 blended fuel use. Added in 2011, a 6.6 liter Duramax turbodiesel V-8 powerplant can be added to the 2012 Express 3500 Passenger van providing 525 pounds-feet of torque. All models come standard with rear wheel drive but the 2012 Chevrolet Express 1500 Passenger vans can be fitted with an optional all-wheel drive system.
