For 2012, the higher output V-6 engine of the Cadillac CTS Coupe has been swapped with a lighter, more refined model. A 6-cylinder rated at 3.6 liters in displacement like the previous powerplant, the 2012 engine incorporates several weight saving components and improved performance. Producing 318 horsepower matched with a 6-speed automatic transmission, the more potent 3.6 liter V-6 engine for the 2012 Cadillac CTS Coupe still records fuel mileage averaging over 23 miles per gallon.
