2012 model year changes

For 2012, the BMW X6 line sees no major changes. Several enhancements have been made to the list of standard equipment, including standard auto-dimming mirrors, tinted glass, heated front seats and BMW Assist with Bluetooth. A newly optional rear middle seat allows seating for five.

Referred as a ‘Sport Activity Coupe’ by BMW, the 2012 X6 crossover is a stylish mix of vehicle types. The 2012 BMW X6 is exclusively fitted with xDrive all-wheel drive and is furnished in three, distinct powerplant choices. Based equipped BMW X6 xDrive35i is powered with 300 horsepower from a 3-liter, turbocharged inline-6 powerplant. Supplying the power of eight-cylinders, the 2012 BMW X6 xDrive50i drops in a 400 horsepower, 4.4 liter twin-turbocharged engine. The 2012 BMW X6 xDrive35i and xDrive50i comes standard with amenities such as electronic climate control, automatic headlamps, power tailgate and a 10-speaker sound system featuring HD radio. The 2012 BMW X6’s interior comes with standard four seating but can now be enhanced by an optional rear bench seat. Other optional add-ons to the BMW X6 include the Rear Climate Package and Premium Sound Package with satellite radio. The BMW ActiveHybrid X6 combines the throaty twin-turbocharged 4.4 liter V-8 with two electric motors for a total 480 horsepower. Achieving 17 miles per gallon city and 19 highway, the 2012 BMW ActiveHybrid X6 incorporates an automatic start/stop starter-alternator and Brake Energy Regeneration to save fuel.
