Receiving only trim and minor equipment upgrades since 2003, the classic Town Car sedan has reached the end of the line with Lincoln. The 2011 model year marks the final time the popular rear-wheel drive sedan will share its old-fashion luxury charm. A restyled Lincoln MKX appears in 2011 dropping the Continental-inspired grille in favor of a front end familiar to the brand's current sedans. Part of the 2011 facelift is a more potent V-6 engine producing 305 horsepower. All Lincoln Navigator models include a standard navigation system with voice-control. 2011 Navigator's 5.4-liter V-8 engine has added E85 blended gasoline compatibility. Lincoln's first hybrid gasoline/electric production vehicle premieres in 2011 based on the mid-sized MKZ sedan. A 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine works in concert with an electric motor to generate a combined 191 horsepower. Fuel economy is almost double the distance achievable with the V-6 powered MKZ averaging more than 38 miles per gallon.
