Updated for 2011 the Toyota Matrix is a five-door hatchback that offers two different engine options; a standard 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 132 hp/128 lb-ft of torque and a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 158 hp/162 lb-ft of torque. Drivers can choose between standard FWD or optional AWD and also have a variety of transmission choices including a 5-speed manual, 4-speed automatic and 5-speed automatic. Fuel mileage falls between an EPA estimated range of 21 mpg city and 31 mpg highway depending on engine, transmission and drivetrain selection.
