Mazda re-enters the subcompact car market with the Mazda2. Developed in association with Ford, the Mazda2 is offered only as a five-door hatchback. The 2011 Mazda2 is attractively priced and equipped for first-time new car buyers with features such as power windows, anti-lock braking system and 60-40 split rear seats. The 2011 edition of the Mazda6 sedan boasts several exterior and interior enhancements. In addition to the aesthetic improvement to the 2011 Mazda6 is improved fuel economy estimated to reach up to 31 miles per gallon. Standard electronic stability control has been added across the Mazda3 product line for 2011. The 2011 model year is also marked by Mazda with the impeding discontinuation of the pleasing but aging RX-8 sport coupe.
