As the first completely new product for the reorganized Chrysler Group LLC, the Detroit, Michigan built 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee promises to lead the company just as it did nearly 20 years ago. With renewed commitment to design, quality and value, the Grand Cherokee features bold new styling, increased capability and high-quality fit and finish. The unit-body, 5-passenger SUV will be powered by a new Pentastar 3.6-liter V6 delivering a class-leading 280-hp while delivering improved fuel economy, up to 16/23 mpg city/hwy with a 5-speed automatic. Optional is the 5.7-liter Hemi 360-hp V8 and all trims can have RWD or your choice of three Quadra-Trac 4x4 configurations. Towing capacity is up to 7400 lbs. properly equipped. Luxury features include real wood trim, hand stitched leather, a heated steering wheel, heated and cooled seats, panoramic sunroof, hill start/descent control and voice activated NAV. With great new looks, legendary off-road capabilities and new found quality, this Jeep promises to put the Grand back into Jeep Grand Cherokee. Competitors include GMC Acadia, Toyota Highlander and Honda Pilot.
